Boats for Sale in the Thousand Islands

Your premier yacht dealer on the St. Lawrence River. New Pursuit, Cobalt, and Comitti boats plus a curated selection of pre-owned freshwater vessels.

The Thousand Islands' Trusted Yacht Dealer

The Thousand Islands region — stretching nearly 50 miles along the St. Lawrence River from Cape Vincent to Brockville — is one of North America's most extraordinary boating destinations. Summerland Yacht Sales has called this region home for over 45 years, and we've spent that time perfecting what it means to be a boat dealer that truly understands these waters.

Whether you're moored in Clayton, summering in Wellesley Island, or chartering out of Cape Vincent, you deserve a dealer who knows the river as well as you do. Our showroom on Route 12 in Alexandria Bay is centrally located to serve every Thousand Islands community on both the U.S. and Canadian shorelines.

Where Thousand Islands Boaters Cruise

The beauty of Thousand Islands boating is the sheer variety of destinations within easy reach. From our Alexandria Bay showroom, here's what's accessible by boat:

Boldt Castle & Heart Island — A 10-minute cruise from town, this turn-of-the-century castle is the region's most iconic landmark. Public dockage available.

Clayton, NY — 30 minutes upriver. Home to the Antique Boat Museum, world-class dining, and one of the best protected harbors on the river.

Cape Vincent — Where the St. Lawrence meets Lake Ontario. Open water, wider runs, and gateway to Lake Ontario cruising.

Singer Castle, Dark Island — Less crowded than Boldt, equally stunning. Tours available with deep-water dockage.

Sackets Harbor — A historic naval port and food destination, accessible from Lake Ontario for owners with capable cruising boats.

Gananoque & Kingston (Canada) — Cross the river into Ontario for European-style waterfront towns. Customs reporting required.

What to Look For in a Thousand Islands Boat

Boats built for these waters have specific advantages. The St. Lawrence's main shipping channels run 60 to 250 feet deep, which means draft is rarely a concern — but you'll want a hull designed to handle the chop kicked up by cargo ship wakes and afternoon winds. Open-water capable cruisers, sport boats with deep-V hulls, and traditional cabin cruisers all do exceptionally well here.

Our Pursuit lineup is purpose-built for exactly these conditions. Cobalt's signature deep-V handling makes them riverside favorites. And our pre-owned inventory is curated specifically for freshwater Thousand Islands boating — every boat we list has a story, a survey, and a history we know.
